Hearing Loops improve hearing access for hearing aid users in places where background noise or distance make it difficult to hear. Hearing loops can be installed in auditoriums, meeting rooms, customer service desks, buses, places of worship, and TV rooms. Audiologist Juliette Sterkens will demonstrate how to use a hearing loop, share where to find hearing loops locally, demonstrate best practices for library staff, and explain how we can all work together to Loop Wisconsin. This event is open to the public. Registration is optional, but encouraged for library directors and staff. (1.5 contact hours for recertification)
